Building Design
ABS Consulting provides structural engineering
services, including plans, specifications and construction
administration for new, renovation of existing structures,
strengthening of structures and structural risk analyses.
It has always been ABS Consulting's practice to develop efficient
designs with proven technology, complemented by state-of-the-art
analyses. Our staff includes specialists in engineering
for extreme hazards including earthquake, extreme wind
(i.e. tornado), flood, hurricane and blast. Engineers utilize
state-of-the-art computer applications, as required, for
static and dynamic analyses and soil-structure interaction.
Our design team includes experienced drafting and graphics
departments with the latest design and construction document
production capabilities.
Through first-hand investigation of thousands of structural
failures in earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, blasts and
other events around the world, and direct participation
in the formulation of the building codes and design standards,
our engineers develop unique, cost-effective and practical
performance-based solutions for new design and renovations
to meet client-specific requirements.
We have completed a wide variety of design projects, ranging
in scale from structural concept and schematic studies,
to full design and construction projects of upwards to
$160 million in constructed value. Our engineers have
consulted on a wide variety of new buildings, facilities
and other structures, along with renovations, repairs
and retrofit designs for all types of facilities. ABS
Consulting also provides services for clients worldwide
involving risk reduction planning from natural catastrophe
and manmade events.
